DAMILOLA AKINGBOLA’S EXPERIENCE

Damilola Akingbola

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

DAMILOLA: I was in a season of my life where I was certain I needed it. I made some recommitments in my spiritual journey two months prior to the announcement of the retreat and so I was hungry for anything that would help and strengthen my recommitments.
The Saturday of the retreat weekend was even already booked for an event (I’m an Event Planner), but the moment the announcement was made, I realized I needed to make room for it, so I moved a few things and freed the date.
I was hungry for growth in my spiritual life and I knew the retreat would be an healthy FILL. What surprised me though was how WHOLESOME the retreat was. It not only touched my spiritual life, it reached every part of my life and I am super grateful that I made room for it.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

DAMILOLA: Wow, just 3? Haha. The retreat was a whole combustible and I had lots of lightbulb moments, however, I will share my first 3.

  1. It is risky to end and begin seasons of my life in the FLESH.
AJS mentioned this when we were listening to his video about the need for an END of the YEAR retreat and it opened my eyes to the importance of retreat(s). Right there, I decided immediately that I would normalize having retreats. This point was firmly solidified for me on the last day of the retreat because of how ready and charged I feel for 2022.
Brutally and honestly reviewing my 2021 using the AJS template was really eye opening. I have such CLARITY, DIRECTION and PEACE about my 2022. Starting a new season with this power packed RETREAT is a blessing I am doubly thankful for. I already know my next retreat would be just before my birthday next year. And I am super excited about it.
  2. It’s not about setting realistic goals, it’s about setting myself up for success.
As simple as this sounds, the way Marie Forleo said it, HIT me!!! Because while I have been such a realistic goal setter, I haven’t been setting myself up for success in some areas of my life. However, after listening to all of Marie Forleo’s content for the retreat and in my reflections about creating and living a life I truly enjoy, I know exactly where to finetune in my life to kickstart having an inspiring schedule daily and setting myself up for success. I truly look forward to waking up daily to a life I enjoy living and do not feel the need to take breaks from.
  3. My third lightbulb moment or let me just really say lots of lightbulb moments happened while we listened to the audio book, The Ruthless Elimination of HURRY. I love how John Mark highlighted the simplicity of the life of Jesus: how Jesus very much lived in the moment and was never in a hurry; what he said about adopting the LIFESTYLE of Jesus if I truly want to experience the LIFE of Jesus; how he elucidated the secret of the easy YOKE and usefulness of sabbath; and lastly, how he clearly stated and explained this life changing phrase: “The solution to an over-busy life is not more TIME, it is to slow down and simplify our lives around what matters.”
    Whoosh!!!! LIGHT BULBS!!!!!
A MAJOR win for me at the retreat was the no-phone rule at our very long sessions and my ability to adhere to it. I have now resolved and put plans in place for my weekly sabbath. I honestly look forward to unplugging from technology regularly while making the most of my hours using my daily inspiring schedules. 2022 just keeps looking goooooooddd.
Please, permit me to add a bonus lightbulb moment out of my multiple DDK light bulb sessions.
  4. Take my skills to Harvard before taking them to the market!!!
HARVARD – the place where I sit with diligence and gain MASTERY.
HARVARD – the refinery where I sit with my gifts and REFINE them.
HARVARD – where I choose the path of brilliance and grow expertise.
HARVARD – where I manage my TEF (Time, Energy and Focus).
Take my skills to HARVARD before taking them to the market???? Yes!!!!
Permission has been given by the amazing DDK. Watch out for me in 2022 because I am going to HARVARD and the market place will pay for those skills I would hone in my Harvard… hehehe.
And as DDK wisely puts it, I am super ready for the kind of growth that lasts; it’s progressive and systematic and The WILD Retreat has given me a BLUEPRINT.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

DAMILOLA: The woman that walked out of Redemption Camp is a woman who understands the significance of seasons and will start them right henceforth.
The woman that walked out of The WILD Retreat is a woman who will never again negotiate herself out of a significant life nor recline to the script of her previous experiences because she now believes BIGGER and extends her faith to what God is able to do through her.

She is:
A woman with solid action plans and goals review plans.
A woman whose destiny DNA is encoded in GENIUS GRADE greatness.
A woman who has capacity to birth all the dreams that God has placed in her womb.
A woman propelled by a God who has RANGE so her reach is wide and deep.
A woman whose success metrics is no longer the world’s but the degree of alignment and calibration of God’s perfect plans and desires for her life.
A woman who doesn’t use her pain or limitations as a crutch for an average life.
A woman who understands that living a significant life is HARD WORK and is ready to put in the work.

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE RETREAT?

DAMILOLA: First, I told my husband about it and made plans for my younger sister to come stay with my family to make things easy for my hubs. I did a food time table to guide my sister on what to serve them while I was away, kissed them goodbye and off I went.
A big “thank you” to The WILD leadership for this impactful retreat. I am forever indebted.

TOYIN FUNSHO’S EXPERIENCE

Toyin Funsho a.k.a Asst Captain WILD

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

TOYIN: I am at a point in my life where I am not comfortable anymore and I need to move to the next phase. I feel there is something to be birthed. So, coming for The WILD Retreat was the best decision. I needed an alone time with God to know what next and the retreat gave me that.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

TOYIN:

  1. Don’t begin a new season of your life in the flesh. This hit so hard!
  2. Don’t put a new wine into an old wine skin. Make room for the new.
  3. Take your skill to Harvard before you take it to the market.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

TOYIN: A woman with clarity and mandate. I move from searching to finding. Now it’s time to execute.
A confident woman because the devil can’t sell lies to me again. My mind is renewed.
A blessed woman. It’s so beautiful knowing that God is so mindful of me and counts me special.

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

TOYIN: I told hubby about the Retreat and he approved. So what I did was to make arrangement for what they would need for the days I would be away to make it easier for him.
I prepared sufficient food that would last for the duration I’d be away and also gave him the timetable so he would not struggle with finding what to eat. I also told him where I kept some Important things he would need while I was away. I planned everything for him in details.
Can you believe I got home and dude said I should have stayed back? Hahaha. Maybe I will stay back and longer next time.
But I am really grateful for this, thank You CoachE.

CHIDINMA EMUH’S EXPERIENCE

Chidinma Emuh

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

CHIDINMA: I wanted clarity of goals and a direction for 2022. I wanted a God-plan for my life in 2022. I also wanted to spend quality time with God with minimum distraction and really pray about 2022. I just wanted more of God and a great change in my life.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

CHIDINMA: While we listened to the audio of the book, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, I realised I have to make peace with my limitations, that I can find God’s purpose for my life in my limitations. That life is a series of choices so for everything I say “YES” to, there are a couple of things I said “NO” to. I also learnt that simplifying my life around what matters, making sure my daily schedules are aligned with the right values which are: to be with JESUS, to be like JESUS and to do what JESUS will do, will give me great peace.

My second lightbulb moment happened when we were listening to Marie Forleo. I learnt that I should do creative work first when I start my day because that is when I have a full cognitive tank. I also learnt that having a good and clear understanding of the reasons I want to achieve a goal and keeping my eyes on it will enable me remain consistent in my pursuit.

My third lightbulb moment happened while listening to Pastor Debola Deji-Kurunmi. I learnt that I negotiate myself out of a significant future by reclining to the script of a previous experience. My focus and desire should be to let God’s thought about me saturate my mind. I realise I have known myself, God’s intentional life-design and purpose for my life since the DNA of my destiny is encoded in genius grade greatness.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

CHIDINMA: A woman with clear goals and action plans to achieve these goals.
A woman with a commitment to walk with God and see herself the way God sees her.
A woman who is very hopeful and excited about her future as she willingly goes through the process of becoming all that God wants her to be.

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

CHIDINMA: I told my husband at the beginning of this month that I have a retreat to attend. He decided he would get home from work early on Friday and be available for our children during the weekend since he doesn’t work on weekends. I have a 19-year-old domestic help/distant relative who lives with us. She and my husband took care of my children when I was away.

ENITAN’S EXPERIENCE

Enitan

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

ENITAN: I truly believe in the Vision of the convener. From the very first day I saw the PDF plan for the retreat, I knew it would be a no-brainer and I needed the setting to set the tone for my new year.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

ENITAN:

  1. I’m never going to cut myself again from possibilities and I won’t make conclusion about myself in a way that disfavours me.
  2. I don’t have to excuse myself from destiny because destiny does not ride on social stratification.
  3. The solution to an over busy life is to slow down.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

ENITAN: A woman with a sense of direction.
A woman with a Genius-Grade Greatness encoded in her DNA.
A woman that is hardwired to live in her generation like God Himself is living in here.

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE RETREAT?

ENITAN: I told my hubby about the retreat a week before the date and he approved of it. While my kids were at my mum’s place, hubby was sorted with what I think he would need for the days I was away. Going for retreat at the end of the year is a usual practice for me.
I’m truly grateful for the experience, opportunities and the fact that I met amazing visionaries that we will be doing life together. Dear, CoachE, we are so grateful for the gift of you and the gifts you shared with all of us. God bless you and expand your coast line…Amen!

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

BUNMI: I came for the program because I was going through stuffs in my marriage and I needed to find a place to pray.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

BUNMI: I was able to discover myself as a person, my purpose and my goals in life.
I was able to learn how to build my spiritual life.
I was also able to pray to the fullest.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

BUNMI: A warrior, a woman with vision and purpose.

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE RETREAT?

BUNMI: I handed the children over to their dad.

PAMELA EDDIN’S EXPERIENCE

Pamela Eddins

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

PAMELA: I truly desired to go into 2022 armed with knowledge and information. I did not want to go into 2022 casually and I chose to take advantage of The WILD Visioning Retreat to prepare for 2022.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

PAMELA: At the retreat, the words I heard kept hitting me gbas gbos, that is, they resonated deeply within me. My three highlights are:

  1. From The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer, I received that I am to live both to my potentials and limitations, accept my limitations, live deliberately and live the lifestyle of Jesus (that is, apprentice under Jesus, be with Jesus, become like Jesus, do what He would do if He were me, travel through life at His side, take His life as a template for my own life). I also received that an easy life is not an option, an easy yoke is (Matthew 11:28-30) and that is to be yoked with Jesus, following his pace.
  2. From Marie Forleo (Creating a business and a life that you love), I received that I must plan my days if I plan to have a successful life. I must architect and design my day with intention. I learnt that I should do creative work first when my energy is most high. I should plan my life, write it all down, prune it; that is dream big and plan small. I received that to be consistently consistent, I should ‘catch that wagon’; that is when I slack, I should pick myself up and catch-up with the plans outlined for my success.
  3. Future Forward Female with DDK shattered tables, ceilings and all. I received that it’s my Destiny DNA to have dominion. I got that I must refuse to recline to the script of my previous experiences. I should have audacity of faith to dream bigger, embrace all that God gives to me through visioning. I am to declare myself out of stinking thinking and strongly refuse to negotiate myself out of a significant life and future. I should not excuse myself from destiny. God is anointing and placing His favour on His daughters so we can be at the forefront of change and I must ride on that wave. I am to unravel who I am and respond with acceptance to the work it will take to be that person. I must give myself to the rigorous process to manifesting. Yes, I must have a blueprint for growth, a step by step outline for a system of growth.
As I place the image of the future forward female before me and operate from that space, I am to repent from habits that don’t serve me and have kept me stuck for the longest time and henceforth automate myself for success. I must declare my way out of shackles, imprisonment, patterns that are unproductive. I must burn the midnight candle just to school my soul into prosperity. I must partner with God to shift into His movement.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

PAMELA: In the words of DDK, today and this moment, draws the line permanently between the woman I used to be and the woman I will now become.
A woman that no longer reclines to the script of her past experience.
A woman determined to walk the talk and be totally transformed, manifesting her God-given vision and having proofs and testimonies to show.
A woman ready to pursue, recover and overtake all that has been stolen and lost even if I sweat blood.
I refuse to return to the woman I was before the retreat (inconsistent and low will power to do the hardwork of manifesting greatness).
I must not, I will not return back to a life without significance and toiling with my glorious destiny.
I am permanently marked for a transformed life.
I am a future forward female.
So help me God. Amen!

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE RETREAT?

PAMELA: In order to participate at the retreat, I sent my children to stay with my sister. I had informed my husband about the retreat and I got his permission to go. He however is not around at this time and this made it a whole lot easier.
The Wild Visioning Retreat was very intensive. We listened to Apostle Joshua Selman’s message on how to prepare for a retreat, Marie Forleo’s Videos, Audio on The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry and the Future-Forward Female intensive with DDK.
We listened to them all, had quiet time of reflections, had group discussions, shared our resolutions, got paired with accountability partners and we most definitely prayed. We had prayer walks, had aereobic sessions and yes, we had our WILD vigil which was a prayer marathon.
It was all a beautiful experience and all for free! What a blessing Coach Eziaha is to The WILD, a gift to me and The WILD in general and God Almighty will continually honour her as she carries out her God-given visions and assignments.
God bless you immensely Coach Eziaha Bolajo-Olojo. God replenishes you. Thank you for all you do.

CHIDINMA OFUNEME’S EXPERIENCE

Chidinma Ofuneme

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

CHIDINMA: It has been a secret desire/prayer of mine to have a proper one-on-one with God and I was at a stage in my life where I was lost. I was losing myself, just existing as a wife and mother but not truly living and I was so sure I didn’t want to do 2022 like this. So, I knew I had to be at the retreat.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

CHIDINMA:

  1. Learning to plan my year by structuring my months in themes. For instance, January for faith, February for finances, and so on.
  2. There is no escaping life’s challenges, our humanity and limitations, but there is an easier way to do life and that’s by living the lifestyle of Jesus.
  3. Automating my life for success. The need to set up structures, frameworks, outlines and life architectures to help me make adequate use of time and gear me up for success.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

CHIDINMA: The woman that stepped out of the retreat is:
A woman with a purpose to find her purpose.
A woman that understands the importance and use of her time.
A woman that knows that her God has deposited so much greatness in her.

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE RETREAT?

CHIDINMA: I got the green light from my husband, and as God will have it, my mum’s school vacated on that very Thursday so it was a done deal (that’s why they are grandmothers, right? Lol)

DAMILOLA OLOPADE’S EXPERIENCE

Damilola Olopade

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

DAMILOLA: I was at that point in my life where I felt I have more than I am delivering. I needed to discover myself, there was this void/emptiness that needed to be filled.
I knew I needed an alone time with God to know what next and the retreat gave me just that. Coming for The WILD Retreat was the best decision.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

DAMILOLA:

  1. Take your skill to Harvard before you take it to the market.
  2. Don’t begin a new season of your life in the flesh; you can’t put a new wine into an old wine skin. Make room for the new.
  3. Accept your limitations. You can find God’s call for your life in your limitations.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

DAMILOLA:
A woman with a new mindset.
A woman  with direction and focus.
A blessed woman, not confined by the world’s metrics for success.

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE RETREAT?

DAMILOLA: I told hubby about the retreat from the first day (I literally sang it to his ears everyday), we spoke to my Mother-in-law, so we could drop the children with her.
l made arrangements for what they would need for the days I would be away so it was easier for hubby and my mum-in-law.
I am really grateful for this retreat, I almost cancelled because MIL(Mother in-law) forgot and went for a program, but hubby said, “Babe, I got this; you can go”. Thank you, Coach! I am glad I came.

LISA IDIA’S EXPERIENCE

Lisa Idia

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE RETREAT?

LISA: The importance of a retreat can’t be overemphasized especially because we’re approaching the beginning of a New Year.
I was at a point where I needed a solitary place away from the noise and work stress. I had so much on my mind and I didn’t want to get into the New Year with a cluster in my mind. The Retreat, somewhere away from home, was just the solution and upon hearing about it, I didn’t hesitate to plug in.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

LISA: There were so many lightbulb moments for me. In short, I saw clearly how truly bright my light was if only I could take the step. Amongst the several things that stood out, I’ll be sharing just 3.
First, the simplicity of the life of Jesus. Gosh!! He was too simple but yet great. I honestly want to adopt that lifestyle. He lived in the moment all the time, never in a hurry, never felt too important – very humble and welcoming.

Second, all my abilities and special gifts are previledges. God gave me His gifts and what I do with them are my gifts to Him especially when they are being used for His glory.
Finally, PDDK’s analysis on times and seasons was another significant lightbulb. I love how she explained that the world is changing and women are gradually coming to the top of affairs in the society. I immediately connected myself as one of them. I am a light shining brighter and brighter to my world.
Okay, let me add one bonus point. Thanksgiving should be my default mode. At the beginning of the retreat when I did a breakdown of my year, I could not be even more thankful for all God had done (to think that those were the ones I could see, how about the ones I’m not aware of?) God is faithful and His mercies are new every morning.

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

LISA: I am more purposeful, determined to dare more things but focusing on my onesie and achieving it.
I am clearer about my “WHY”? WHY am I in business? Why am I a single mum? Why! why! why!!! All this came with much more clarity. I am ready to catch all lost wagons and if I fall, I pick myself up and chase after it even harder.
Lastly, I am a future forward woman, impacting lives, remaining thankful and living the simplified lifestyle of Jesus.

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE RETREAT?

LISA: Convincing my child wasn’t a problem although he felt bad when I said I was leaving for that long but he accepted it.
The only challenge I had was deciding whether I should go for the retreat because I was to represent my family at a family function; also, having my mum accept to care for her grandchild in my absence because I’ve never had to stay away from home that long for my personal reason.
Thankfully, the coast was cleared and she endorsed my going without any debate.

TEMITOPE OLUMIDE’S EXPERIENCE

Olutemi

WHY DID I DECIDE TO GO FOR THE WILD RETREAT?
From the moment I heard about The WILD Retreat, I just knew I needed it. I am at a place in my life where it’s easy to recline into complacence and laziness. I didn’t want this season of my life where I am pregnant and would be a nursing mum soon by God’s grace to just go without me having achieved anything or done something. I felt like there was more to my season, and going for the retreat was a start for me to get clear directions and give expression to the MORE.

THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT ME BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT.
Now that I am responding to the question, 3 is quite small. I had lots of lightbulb lessons.
From Marie Forleo, what hit me the most is to take myself seriously and not “blow myself up”; set myself up for success and not failure; learn to ignore my feelings, “the tiny whiney voice in my head that always cries when I am trying to be consistent and my mind is being stretched”.
From Apostle Joshua Selman, what hit me the most was when he said, “When it comes to requests, we are very specific and meticulous; same should go for our thanksgiving”. When we are thanking God, we shouldn’t just be vague, we should be robust in our thanksgiving.
Another thing I learnt from him is, backing our goals with scriptures, for by arm of flesh shall no man prevail.

From PDDK, I honestly learnt a loooot! I had countless lightbulb moments but I will try to write one. “HEARING GOD IS A 21ST CENTURY COMPETENCE“. This one is STRONG, it’s deep.
Hearing God is a MUST and shouldn’t be trivialized. The midnight candle must be burned to school my soul into prosperity; it’s not enough to be hopeful and remain lazy. As a believer, I must know how to convert my spiritual genius/prophetic form into executive solutions for the benefit of humanity and to the glory of God.
And a bonus from The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. Jesus has offered us a new and better way to live, not a way of escape. The issue we humans have is we want to avoid and escape all the pain; we don’t want to put in any work. This desire to escape is what leads people to addictions, people say they drink to escape their sadness (which isn’t really escaping it in any way). To experience the life of Jesus, we have to emulate the lifestyle of Jesus.

THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

  1. A woman who is embracing the new wine skin that would carry the new wine. A woman whose mind is enlarged and thinks like God.
  2. A woman making herself ready for what God has made ready for her.
  3. A woman who knows that she is God-propelled, and operates in strength and supply that is higher than the greatest demands of my vision.
  4. A woman who knows she has help that is customized for this season of her life.

HOW DID I PLAN FOR MY FAMILY AND CONVINCE MY SPOUSE TO LET ME GO FOR THE RETREAT?
Luckily for me, my son’s school had their Christmas carol on the 15th of December, the day before the retreat. So I had made plans with my parents before hand. After his carol at school, off he went to his grandparents house and that made mummy free to spend time with her Lord. Glory to God!
Convincing hubs wasn’t hard; once I told him about it and also told him about the secure plans I made for our son, he had no issues with it. Especially as it was organized by The WILD community.
I’m so thankful for this retreat in every way. I remember missing the “Future Forward Female Intensive” and planning to watch it again which I never did. The WILD Retreat made it possible for me to watch it and receive sense. Thank you Captain WILD, I love you, mama.

EZIAHA BOLAJI-OLOJO A.K.A CAPTAIN WILD’S EXPERIENCE

Captain WILD

OLUTEMI: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO COME FOR THE WILD RETREAT?

CAPTAIN WILD: More like why did I call for the retreat?
It was a desire in my heart, to fulfill a God-instruction which I was happy to carry out. The entire idea and schedule for the 4 days came directly from HIM, including the theme.
As the d-day came closer, I realized that going on a retreat is wayyyyy different from leading a retreat, and I started to fear that I would not really reap the benefits of it, as I would have to be in ‘Leader mode’.
Thankfully, I prayed and BEGGED God to help me actually be as much a beneficiary than just being the Leader. I didn’t want to feel drained because I really wanted to ENJOY it.
Thankfully, God answered me – graciously and generously! I enjoyed this retreat 100% and I look forward to the mid-year retreat in June, and another end of year retreat in December 2022.

OLUTEMI: WHAT ARE THE THREE (3) LIGHTBULB MOMENTS/LESSONS THAT HIT YOU BIG TIME DURING THE RETREAT?

CAPTAIN WILD:

  1. I think the final day held a lot of joy and fulfillment for me, as I could literally feel the hunger and commitment of everyone as we had our final review and prayers. When we held hands and prayed for each other, and then when everyone circled me and prayed over me, it was SUCH A MOMENT. Like people had real tears, and I did too.
  2. The prayer walk and the almost 90 minutes we had alone before we split into accountability groups, was another highlight for me. I really enjoyed our walking individually but as a group, for over an hour, starting from 6.30am, while praying alone. It was while we were on that walk that God gave me the instructions for our breakout session which I thought was brilliant, as it made everything, including making our resolutions, so practical for everyone, including me.
  3. The vulnerability. While I expected sisters to be open, I was still surprised and grateful for how vulnerable people were in sharing. This made me decide better how to pair us for accountability, and also know how to help my sisters going forward, as God helps me. I also really enjoyed seeing almost immediate miracles in some of my sisters as light hit them. Ah, the joys of watching someone go from confused, overwhelmed and feeling defeated, to now having a fresh wind, fire and determination to take all she is learning and apply it to win. It’s incredible, and this was only possible because there was such vulnerability every step of the way

OLUTEMI: TELL US ABOUT THE WOMAN THAT WALKED OUT OF REDEMPTION CAMP AFTER THE RETREAT/RESOLUTIONS.

CAPTAIN WILD: Wow. The Eziaha that walked out of the Camp grounds is one that is so grateful to God first, for the privilege to host and lead this retreat, which gave me such intimate access to some of my amazing sisters in The WILD with whom we’ve hitherto related mostly online, over Zoom and whatsapp.
Our being 100% present offline made me see that all the investment and work put into running The WILD has not been in vain at all, and I am even more resolved to do more, starting with keeping the relationship we have as a group going until the next retreat.
Still on The WILD, now I know how to better steer this ship, and a lot of things are going to be different starting from our WILD vision which is the first thing I would be upgrading.

The Old WILD Vision
The NEW WILD VISION

On a personal note, like Lisa Idia said during the retreat, I am even more convinced that my life of significance and fulfillment is possible for the long run, so far I stay on track and keep applying the things I have learned.
I am also even more resolved to pursue and nurture more offline and 3D relationships where possible, going into 2022 and beyond. 2D Zoom/Whatsapp is truly a watered down version of human interaction.
I am also even more thankful for my mentors and teachers who were the resource persons for the retreat; Marie Forleo, PDDK and Apostle Joshua Selman.
God is really good and kind!!!

OLUTEMI: HOW DID YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY AND CONVINCE YOUR SPOUSE TO LET YOU GO FOR THE RETREAT?

CAPTAIN WILD: I had to come with my kids to camp as I didn’t have anyone to leave them with at home and hubby was also away. However, my gracious and amazing assistant, Vivian, came with me to mind them while I was involved with the retreat. I just booked a separate room for them, and also packed up various play things and books to keep them engaged. Thankfully, having so much space in the chalets gave them an opportunity to play and really enjoy their time there, even if they were barely seeing Mommy.

SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM CAPTAIN WILD
I really want to very specially appreciate TOYIN FUNSHO for holding down the logistics for the retreat. What an absolute trooper Toyin was, organizing, calling, tracking, fixing room issues that came up, waking us up and keeping us on schedule. The best part is she did it with so much grace, joy, and a really great attitude. Thank YOU so much, Toyin. God bless you for me, and all of us.
I really truly do love and appreciate you.
