WHAT ARE YOUR 2023 WILD RESOLUTIONS?

February 18, 2023

Shalom, Shalom Sisters!

I trust you’re up to speed with our 2023 resumption in The WILD?

If you’re still sleeping, “Hello?”

Please, wake up and join our joyful, fully-kitted in God’s armour, ride.

If you’re not new to The WILD, you’d already know that we don’t snooze here; and if you’re new here, welcome onboard, sister! And strap on your seatbelt fast.

We’re Strong Women in God’s safe place, and we take on the posture of a WatchWoman, always, with worded prayers, quality B.S (Bible Study), fasting, worship, and giving. Yes, these are the core values and principles we hold as WILD WOMEN. That’s not to mention that we take DEE – Discipline, Excellence and Engagement – into everything and everywhere.

Now, let’s talk about the subject of today’s post – What is/are your 2023 WILD RESOLUTION(S)?

CREATE and START

At the beginning of every year, a large percentage of people make what is popularly known as ‘New Year Resolution’, but only a minute percentage of that population eventually stick to those resolves beyond January.

Well, I’m not here to ask you if you made any New Year resolution and/or if you’ve been keeping to it. I’m rather here to reiterate some truths that should govern your life as a WILD WOMAN.

1. Don’t be a FRAUD.
This is one key instruction/advice that stood out for me in 2022. Captain WILD had admonished us to not just say things but to actually mean, be and do them. In very simple terms, don’t be a FRAUD means, don’t pretend. Let your actions speak louder than your words. Let what you profess and/or request of others be in tandem with how you think and act.

2 Timothy 3:5 is a scripture that drives it home for me.

Having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

2 Timothy 3: 5 NIV

They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

2 Timothy 3:5 NLT

The Bible asks us to stay away from people who are frauds. There’s no gain saying that we ought not to be seen as frauds, either.
This is not just about spiritual things but about every area of our lives.

Don’t be a FRAUD, Sister.

2. You are a PROFESSIONAL.
I am a PROFESSIONAL. To be professional means to do everything with the highest possible Excellence that you can.

According to the dictionary, a professional is a person engaged or qualified in a profession. Keyword here is QUALIFIED.

Another definition says a professional is a person engaged in a specified activity, especially a sport, as a main paid occupation rather than as a pastime. The key phrase here is MAIN PAID OCCUPATION.

So sisters, we’re qualified for everything God has given us the opportunity to do in our homes, our offices, local assembly, in The WILD and everywhere else; and we do it as a PAID OCCUPATION, not as a pastime. We give our BEST to everything we’re privileged to do – from parenting our kids, to serving our husbands, to being sister-girlfriends, to our roles in our offices, etcetera.

Proverbs 22:29 is our watchword.

Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.

Proverbs 22:29 NIV

3. You are a WILD, Orderly and Elegant woman.
Yes, as professional women who are not frauds, we take order and elegance into every day, week, month, and year. We don’t do anything in a haphazard (jaga jaga) way. We plan our days, weeks, months, and quarter ahead – with a joyful margin; and we are faithful stewards who account for every second God gives us. We don’t engage in low quality leisure (endless scrolling on social media, empty chatter/gists, unplanned and unguarded screentime, etc.), and then wonder how the day went.

No.

We make room for God by prioritizing our quiet time; and then we do business with the word by how we handle our daily activities – including how we steward sleep and rest – with order and elegance.

1 Corinthians 14:40 guides us here.

Let all things be done decently and in order.

1 Corinthians 14:40 KJV

4. You perpetuate Healthy Habits
Last but not least, we perpetuate Healthy Habits! Just as we started the study on Practically Healthy Habits last night (which will run till 10th March, 2023), we automate and perpetuate – continue indefinitely – healthy habits. From our nutrition, to our spiritual devotions, to our personal and professional development, to our sleep, rest, and leisure.

Yes, sister! We have PHHs – Practically Healthy Habits, for everything. Remember, we make our PHHs obvious, attractive, easy, and satisfying.

If you haven’t got our book for this yet (Atomic Habits by James Clear), you can download it HERE.

So, Sister. Whether you made a New Year Resolution or not, the above four WILD ATTITUDES will definitely have you winning all-through 2023 and beyond, against any odd.

I love you sincerely, and I can’t wait to read your key takeaways from this post in the comment section.

And yes, please share SHARE SHARE to your friends and contacts.

Shalom, Shalom!
