3rd March, 2023
Shalom, STRONG, WILD sisters in the SECRET PLACE!
Happy New Year!! Hope we’re resting and rooted in God while letting God work out Nigeria. He is in control and we are unshaken!
Welcome to our first round-up post for the year where I bring you up to speed with all we’ve been up to since we resumed.

We kicked off the 2023 WILD year with an induction of new members. Yes! We welcomed about 29 new sisters into our midst, and it’s such a blessing to bring new sisters into the fold.
Next, our year kicked off in full gear with a 3-day Fruit/Daniel fast tagged, “The STRONG WOMAN in a SAFE PLACE” with anchor scripture taken from Revelations chapter 12. We delved into what being a STRONG woman entails and how awareness of our identity in Christ Jesus prepares us to be rooted in a safe place. It was a perfect start to the New Year as many of us may have been struggling with positioning and aligning ourselves with God’s promises. We learned that we are STRONG WOMEN in a SAFE PLACE, given a divine identity and protected by our ABBA!
During the fast, we focused and did serious business with the following aspects:
- An awareness of our divine identity and endowments.
- An awareness of our divine assignment.
- An awareness of our enemy.
- An awareness of our SECRET PLACE.
- Deeper Roots.
- Framing our 2023 Declarations.
By the end of the fast, we received amazing testimonies from some of our WILD sisters who got divine direction, answered prayers, and revelations on deeper roots during the fast. It was such a scintillating period where God took us on a journey of resting, rooting, and growing. What a privilege!
After the fast, we introduced a new concept to The WILD – Shabbat Thursdays!!! Yes, henceforth in The WILD, Thursdays are our official day of rest! It’s a dedicated day in the week when we let the Holy Spirit minister to us, refill us, and recharge us.
Up next, our WILD leaders engaged with us in an introductory session where they shared personal details about themselves. We learned new information about our WILD leaders as they shared their personal lives with us. For example, we learned that one of them is a Christian fiction writer, another is a professional chef, and we heard new words like “Flexitarian”. We also had our regular, fun, WILD Sunday activity centered on love where we learned each other preferences for chocolate or flowers and love preferences this season. During the fun activity, we learned that some of us win “Best wife” prizes, which are goaaaalllls, hehe.
As February is denoted as the month of love, in line with one of our WILD core values, we had our first WILD orphanage giving for the year on February 21st, 2023. Thank you, sisters, for your continued giving as we share the love of Jesus!
Phew! This already seems like a lot, right?
I know, but there’s more good news!!!
Our study focus for the months of February and March is PRACTICALLY HEALTHY HABITS (PHH), and we’re doing this with the book, “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. We have some selected sisters lead the book review during our Friday WILD meetings, and through this book, we have been learning how to break bad habits and build good ones. See below some excerpts from the book:
“If you want to predict where you’ll end up in life, all you have to do is follow the curve of tiny gains, or tiny losses, and see how your daily choices will compound ten or twenty years down the line.”
“It is only when looking back two, five, or perhaps ten years that the value of good habits and the cost of bad ones become strikingly apparent.”
The Lord is teaching us to form new habits by modifying our behavior progressively so that through the power of repetition, it becomes automatic. The WILD Leadership has also generously compiled a prayer schedule for us as we tackle our PHHs. Please see the prayer here and endeavor to pray daily. It takes a maximum of one hour to complete.
Sisters, please do not snooze on these teachings, and please read this book.
Another great news is that God gave us a new concept during our first WILD meeting. So, tell me, sister, “Are you a NEWSCASTER or a FORECASTER?”
Being a FORECASTER is the ability to predict the future, while a newscaster is one who speaks on what has happened. We in The WILD are forecasters! We know the future by the Spirit and WORD of God, and we declare it boldly! We speak the heart and mind of Christ!
As a FORECASTER, we say “Nigeria Wins! Nigeria is peaceful! Nigeria is righteous! Nigeria is fruitful! Nigeria arises and takes her place in God’s master plan!” Hallelujah!!!
Finally, our WILD Wednesday fasts have been powerful as we built deeper roots and habits and interceded for Nigeria. See some scriptures from our last fast focus:
“Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”
Colossians 2:7, NLT
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8, NLT
“I will tell of the Lord’s unfailing love. I will praise the Lord for all he has done. I will rejoice in his great goodness to Israel, which he has granted according to his mercy and love.”
Isaiah63:7, NLT
Sisters, February was such a short but FULL month. The Lord took us on a deeper journey, and it has been incredible to walk this recap lane with you.
Finally, we had our March WILD Fruit Fast with the theme “UNSHAKABLE” from 1 – 3 March 2023. It was an incredible time of fellowship, learning, pruning, and rooting.
Some of the key learnings we took from the fast are:
- God needs us to be firmly rooted in Him to be UNSHAKABLE.
- Being UNSHAKABLE does not mean that the winds won’t come and perhaps blow our hair or clothes, but we remain rooted on the ground, triumphing over it.
- We do business with the WORD of GOD by making time for, reading, studying, meditating, and applying it.
- Honor your curiosity about the WORD.
- When the Holy Spirit is highlighting a scripture to you repeatedly, it is wise to check it out.
- The WORD needs time to grow, so we need to get rid of all DISTRACTIONS.
- Finally, We get backing!!! We no dey walk alone!!!
As I draw the curtains on this post, remember your posture and roots. We are safe! Nigeria is safe and secure!
“Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.”
Ephesians 3:17, NLT
We are ROOTED in GOD, and we are UNSHAKABLE!!! Shalom!
